Hey guy!

Not sure if anyone still visits this blog BUT since we can no longer make announcement in school, I can only resort to using this as a platform to inform you all that we are back in business AGAIN!

For a start, I will be issuing you all letters to your parents to find out if they would like to volunteer as Home-Experience Hosts for the Shang Wen kids (remember the day trip you made with your buddy’s family??)

The letters are ready and I will hand them out to you hopefully by tomorrow. Pls do persuade your parents to accept this invitation considering how much you have benefitted from last year’s experience.

i tried to weave in all your research material and redid the layout so that it looks consistent.

you can download it to have a look to have an idea of what’s happening.

note: this is not the final product as sure got more changes tomorrow.

note also that the places of interest not added into slides as not very cohesive to do so. may incorporate what chen dao and LKY they all did into photo montage that wen chun they all doing.

updates!

1] i am most pleased with my lit kids’ movie production. will get them to upload to youtube soon. otherwise, you can access the clips (ie those who actually kept to the deadlines) inside the student resource folder under their respective classes (2A, 2B, 2C). i am not kidding.. some of them are really hilarious. i am very proud of them to have come so far. also, this is the first time (after teaching the module for the 3rd time) that i managed to get the kids to complete the editing process and even include background music.. so tis hooray for all!!

2] working on school magazine now.. madness really since must submit everything by end of the month.. 10 more days left!!! eeeeeek!!!

3] working concurrently on the P6 outreach. will send out the email to the neighbouring primary schools by this week. this year, we intend to expand our horizons by going all the way to sembawang and yishun.. yes.. must cast our net wider.. o ya.. intend to go sembawang primary too!! so yes.. should be meeting those p5 kids that went shanghai with us too.. and fyi too, [a] darling bixuan, elaine (plus lutfi and stephanie Sec3) are working on a promotional video for the school.. [b] nazri & janice have pledged their support for the p6 outreach so tis a YAY YAY YAY!!.. [c] marsiling primary wants us to go back again this year.. YAY again!! so yes! i am happy that things are at least moving..

4] CCA finally stand-down.. but lots of work to do still.. eg follow up with the kids whose attendance cannot make it.. got a handful so tis a grit teeth kind of situation..

5] CIP.. my class CIP not completed yet.. but i am happy that tis at least nearing completion and i am glad that my kids are doing well.. and seems like some of the 2D kids are benefitting from the 1 to 1 session too..

6] need to collect money from school to pay for the school magazine.. that one cannot wait.

lastly.. here are 2 pictures i promised i will post of darling ms chan after she dared me..

So what have I been busy with?

hmmm.. Perhaps we should create one for the Shanghai trip.. :p

tao-geh-niu.. you up to doing it? Perhaps not now since you are up to neck with all kinds of work.. tis really easy.. i did the sjab space in 2 days..

Anyway, if any of you really took up the challenge to create a wiki for our Shanghai trip, do not forget to invite me as member ya.. :p

PS: Just so you know, we may have a slot for Shanghai presentation as part of post-exam activities.. Groups, pls get together and start bouncing off ideas (that means now.. since presentation will take place immediately after your exams and I don’t think anyone will be crazy enough to want to do it during the exams). I will keep you posted of latest developments.
